Outback Power – Pure sine inverters and MPPT charge controllers

The VFX3524M mobile inverter is the best on the market. We use them almost exclusively. They are a mobile, pure sine wave inverter and charger in one. With a 3,500 watt continuous output rating – and a 6,000 watt surge – they’re user-friendly, robust and very efficient. This is a great mobile inverter for those who need solid, reliable power on the road. Use it to charge your batteries with shore power or a gas generator!

The MX60 charge controller is an industry standard for many off-grid solar installers around the globe. An MPPT type (Maximum Power Point Tracking) 60-amp controller, the MX60 uses state of the art patented technology to make the most out of your solar input. With its built-in digital display and fool-proof connection terminals, it’s a no-brainer when dealing with a solar array of 30 to 60-amps.

The Outback MATE allows you to change default settings within the inverter and view loads of information gathered from both the inverter and the MX60 charge controller. It also allows you to remotely manage and monitor inverter, MX60s and any future equipment released by Outback.

Use Outback’s HUB-4 and HUB-10 to “stack” multiple inverters for 120/240, 240 or 208-volt output configurations. Use the Hub-4 for stacking, load share and power save on/off. Through the use of the Hub, your system can be completely managed and coordinated by the MATE.

Blue Sky Energy – MPPT charge controllers and displays

Blue Sky is our controller of choice when it comes to systems with solar arrays of few than 30-amps. With the same patented technology you find with Outback’s MX60, the Solar Boost 3024i is a more affordable option that can perform tasks most controllers can’t. The 3024i has built in dusk-to-dawn lighting control, auxiliary dc load and charge outputs, and best of all “smart shunt” technology that allows it to calculate actually battery capacity and present it in an easy-to-read bar graph.

Exceltech – The original pure sine wave inverter.

The XP Series by Exceltech is the best small inverter on the market. It is the perfect inverter for smaller systems where pure sine wave power is desired. You cannot buy cleaner, more stable power than that made by an Exceltech. Made is U.S.A.

Rolls-Surrette – North America’s best lead-acid batteries

Some people say solar systems should really be called battery systems. Rolls Surrette is an American-born company currently operating in Canada. They dominate in the railroad, marine, motive-power and solar industries. These lead-acid batteries are hands down the best you can buy. Like all lead-acid batteries they must be watered – but that small chore is better than paying twice as much for a sealed battery that’s only going to last a third the time.
